Adding Plug-ins

MediaMonkey supports a variety of Winamp 2-compatible plugins that change audio characteristics and visualizations, or extend functionality. Input plug-ins generally add support for new audio formats, while Output plug-ins control how MediaMonkey outputs audio. DSP plug-ins usually enhance and/or modify the audio in some way, while General plug-ins often add some entirely new functionality to the application. Visualization plugins enable the display of psychedelic effects as the music plays.

To configure Plug-ins, click Tools > Options > Player and one of the plug-ins options, or simply right-click on the player and click Configure Current input plug-in or Configure Current output plug-in.

If you've downloaded additional plug-ins, you can download them by following either of the following procedures:

Once the plug-in is installed, you can access it from the relevant plug-ins pane and press the Configure button. For DSP Audio Effect plug-ins, you can also set the order in which the plugins process the audio.
